Alpha Chi Omega Chapter Scholarships
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, was the first Greek-lettered organization founded by black college women on January 15, 1908 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls, to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, launched its HBCU for Life International Program Target across the country to highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and their contributions to the sorority and society.
