Helping MEN Detect Breast Cancer

Speaker:  Linda Dejear, RN

Linda DeJear is a Registered Nurse with a background in Infection Prevention, Post Anesthesia Recovery, Material Child, Pediatrics, Newborn Nursery Admission and Care.  Linda retired from Ascension St John in August, 2020 but is an active and charter member of the Eastern Oklahoma Black Nurses Association.  She is very passionate about improving the health of individuals in the community and currently serves as an ambassador for St Monica Catholic Church in the Ascension Bedrock Initiative to improve the cardiovascular health in the local community. 

 

Nursing is a second career for Linda as she worked in Accounting for Warren Petroleum for 23+ years. 

 

When not volunteering in the

community, Linda enjoys traveling, working in her church, gardening, and being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Breast Cancer:
Recognize Risk & Reduce Impact

Speaker:  Brandi Baxter, MSN, AGNP-C

Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner | Breast Health Clinician | Patient Advocate Brandi Baxter is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of clinical experience, including the past decade devoted exclusively to breast health where she sees patients across the continuum of benign and malignant conditions. She also serves as a lead clinician for both the High-Risk Breast Clinic Program and the Survivorship Program at Utica Park Clinic in Tulsa, Ok.

 

Brandi finds deep purpose in supporting patients through every stage of the breast care journey—from high-risk assessment and diagnosis to treatment, recovery, and long-term survivorship. She believes breast care requires a unique combination of clinical expertise, empathy, and precision—all of which she is deeply committed to cultivating in her practice.

 

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Brandi combines academic excellence with heartfelt dedication to educate and empower patients and peers. As a speaker, she is known for her clarity, compassion, and commitment to advancing patient-centered care in breast health.
